The director of Elite Dangerous has apologized to fans after a series of bugs were reported relating to Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, their latest expansion.
An apology message was sent to the Elite Dangerous forum by David Braben CEO and founder of Frontier Developments, and he addressed the situation , “First and foremost, I would like to apologize wholeheartedly to those who have been suffering from these problems. I would like to reassure you that we take these issues very seriously and that they are our top priority and focus. ” he wrote on the post.
He goes on to state that a hot fix will be rolling out very soon, (which came out 21st of may) and will “more of the reported bugs and bring further stability improvements into the game”, he went on to further reassure the players “We will continue to work on updates which will resolve more bugs and improve stability further”.
He also stated the confusion that arises when pinpointing the source of the bugs, “Some of our players are reporting poor performance on machines where we would expect the performance to be good, and others are saying it is fine. We are trying to get to the bottom of this.”
Braben went on thank the fans again for their patience and support and that the Elite Dangerous community has always been the “heart of the game”.
